Choose your notification preferences

Enable device notifications for updates and missed clock-out reminders.

Enable notifications on this device

  1. Step 1: On the device you want to receive notifications, sign in and open Account → Preferences.
  2. Step 2: Use Notifications on this device and allow notifications when your browser or operating system asks.
  3. Step 3: Check the separate Announcement notifications preference for workplace announcement pushes.
  4. Step 4: Repeat device setup on each phone or browser you want to use. For iPhone or iPad, install and open RocketRota from the Home Screen before enabling push.

What affects delivery

  • Device notification permission applies to that device or browser. The announcement preference is an account preference.
  • New rota notifications depend on the manager's publishing preferences. New announcements depend on the selected audience and your preferences.
  • Missed clock-out reminders follow your location's timings. Notifications being disabled does not prevent an overdue entry from being closed automatically.
  • Focus modes, blocked browser permissions, connectivity and device settings can affect what you receive.

Check the app for the current information

A notification is a prompt to check RocketRota. Read the latest published rota or announcement in the app rather than relying on an older notification preview.
